Asbestos Labour Feedback App in Development

The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) is developing a performance rating app for short-term asbestos removal operatives to support member contractors.

The Asbestos Labour Feedback App, ALFA, will enable member licensed asbestos removal contractors to rate the performance of labour agency operatives, therefore identifying any training needs and supporting future selection.

Using the App, a web-based application, provides a number of benefits for all parties including; performance feedback, reassurance of labour competence, training needs analysis and the use of a specifically designed automated system.

“The idea for ALFA followed feedback from Members that their biggest issue was the quality of labour, that is reliable and competent labour,” stated Steve Sadley, Chief Executive of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association.

“Our development has been supported by ARCA Labour Supply Members, who had the opportunity to have an input during the App’s initial concept and development phases. I’m pleased to say that the core development and in-house testing of the processes have been completed, so the App is currently being piloted with the support of three Labour Supply Members, together with a number of ARCA Member Contractors.”

When ALFA is launched ARCA Labour Supply Members will be able to register all their operatives, who can then be rated on their performance on-site.

Currently the ARCA Labour Supply Members are: Calcot Asbestos Recruitment, DKF Recruitment, Goldmills Recruitment, ITS Asbestos, J&L Recruitment, PB Recruitment Consultants, Sword Dynamic Service Provider, and Tradeslink Asbestos & Construction Recruitment.

The full capability of ALFA will be announced by ARCA next year ….. ALFA coming very soon!
