ARCA Issues 6,000th CSCS Card, Marking Industry Milestone

The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) has reached a significant milestone, issuing its 6,000th Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. This achievement underscores the growing demand for certified professionals in the asbestos management sector.

ARCA's efficient processing system allows for a rapid four-day turnaround on applications, which are received daily. The organisation offers both physical smartcards and digital alternatives, the latter available at no additional cost, providing flexibility for cardholders to access their certification credentials.

To ensure the authenticity of CSCS smartcards, ARCA has implemented an Online Card Checker called 'Go Smart'. This tool enables employers to quickly and reliably verify their workers' credentials.

The association provides a comprehensive range of CSCS cards for various roles within the licensed asbestos management industry, facilitating access to construction sites:

  • Asbestos Removal Operatives: Eligible for temporary red trained and experienced worker cards, and blue skilled worker cards.
  • Asbestos Removal Supervisors: Can apply for temporary red trained and experienced worker cards, and gold supervisor cards.
  • Asbestos Removal Managers: May obtain temporary red trained and experienced worker cards, and black manager cards.
  • Asbestos Analyst & Surveyor Cards: Employers and individual analysts can apply for temporary red and Academically Qualified Person (AQP) white cards.
