Operatives gain NVQ and CSCS cards via ARCA

Asbestos removal operatives, Dale Orme and Adam Parr, of LAR Ltd, recently completed their NVQ Level 2 Diploma via the On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) option of assessment.

“The OSAT assessment suited both Adam and Dale, they soon felt comfortable in the assessment environment and provided good, solid evidence across a number of procedures and processes,” commented Satish Patel, Training Manager for ARCA. “I must add that it was a pleasure to assess both these candidates.”

On receiving NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Removal of Hazardous Waste (Construction) – Licensed Asbestos Removal certificates, LAR applied to ARCA for blue skilled worker CSCS cards (under the ARMI Skills Card Scheme) for the operatives.

“It’s great that ARCA is now issuing CSCS cards, as it makes the whole process of gaining an NVQ and applying for a CSCS card virtually seamless,” stated Steve Hannah, Development Director of LAR Ltd. “Once the NVQ certificates were received the card application was processed efficiently.”
